An ambulance worker has described seeing a black panther stalking, chasing and catching a hare.
The worker spotted the hunt take place in a field off a main road near Ombersley in Worcestershire, an area where there a numerable reports of black cats. This area is close to the River Severn, providing a reliable water source for the cat, and a potential area to look for footprints for investigators. The reported time was 5:30pm at a time of year where the sun sets around 6:30, making the behaviour consistent with big cats crepuscular/nocturnal activity times. The witness would be considered a good one, being a retired police officer and current ambulance worker, you would hope he was a reliable source and sharp observer, unlikely to exaggerate.
